![]() If bitten by wildlife, it is critical to maintain sight of the animal until police or animal control arrive and capture the animal. This will help the bitten person avoid post exposure prophylaxis. Domestic animal bites require a 10 day quarantine of the biting animal for rabies observation. If an involved party is leaving without providing information, write down a vehicle description and license plate number or any other information that would be helpful in locating the individual, such as a description of the owner and pet.
